Nissan 180SX RPS13
The Irish modified car scene is a strange one. On one hand, you have lots of people who only follow the pack, scared to move outside of their comfort zones. On the other hand, you have people like Keith Wheldon who prefers to go his own way. Wexican Motorsport Altezza Shakedown at Mondello Park
Last Saturday I had a rare day off which kind of turned into ‘not-really-a-day-off’ but an enjoyable one none the less. The occasion was the first shakedown of the Wexican Motorsport Toyota Altezza and I was on-hand to document the event. It was a pretty chilled affair and was the perfect opportunity to test out some new equipment namely the Canon 17-40 F4 L, Canon 135 F2 L and the Canon 1.4x extender on the Canon 300 F4 L. It’s also been a while since I got to shoot some live track action so it’s great to be getting back into the motorsport season once again. Wexican Motorsport SX20
After a lengthy delay, the Wexican Motorsport Nissan powered Toyota Altezza has finally been completed. I was quite fortunate to shoot the world exclusive feature on the car for Speedhunters. We got really lucky with the shoot, the location played out well, no distractions and although the light was a bit of a pain, it actually worked in our favour. Dennis Healy’s SR20DET AE86
To celebrate the global AE86 day on August 6th, I met up with Prodrift competitor Dennis Healy who famously piloted the Nexen Tires SR86 with great success. He’s now built this Trueno street car from the track car which had an unfortunate meeting with a tire wall last year. This car has all the right ingredients to make the perfect ’86 : horsepower and simplicity. More images after the jump …

Originally seen on Speedhunters.com When Rod asked the staff to come up with an ’86 related feature for 86 Day, I admit I did have to spend some time considering what to shoot. Ireland has quite an illustrious past with the wee hachi-roku, most commonly refered to as a ‘twin-cam’ or ‘cam’ in these parts. My first plan was to roll back the years on some of the most famous ’86s that have emerged from this small island. DMac’s infamous Falken car and Eric O’Sullivans F20C Rockstar car would obviously be the most recognisable but there have been some other gems that you may never heard of. This car above is one of them.
Karnage Maxxis Onevia
This week gone, I got the pleasure of tackling Dean ‘Karnages’ Kearney Maxxis endorsed Nissan Onevia. The shoot turned into an eventful one, first it rained and then rained some more.
